We offer
several lacrosse programs throughout all four seasons of the year – spring,
summer, winter, and fall.
JESSE HUBBARD: Headfirst Lacrosse Director

native, Jesse Hubbard. Jesse was a four-year starter and all-time leading goal-scorer
at St. Albans (1994). He was 3-time All-Interstate Athletic Conference, 2-time
First Team All-Met, and the Washington Post Player of the Year his senior year.
He then played at Princeton University, where he was a 3-time All-American
(1st Team twice) and a 3-time National Champion (1996, 1997, 1998). During
the NCAA Tournament, he was All-Tournament 3 times, and he scored the game-winning
goal in overtime for the 1996 National Championship. He was also four-year
All-Ivy League, including Ivy League Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year.
In addition, he was Academic All-Ivy League and graduated in 1996 with a degree
in Economics. Jesse currently holds the record for all-time goals scored at
Princeton.
Continuing his career after college, Jesse played in the 1998 Lacrosse
World Games where he won a World Championship with Team USA. He then played
box lacrosse (indoor) for the Baltimore Thunder in the National Lacrosse League,
where he was the Rookie of the Year in 1999. He played two more years in the
NLL, and began playing professional outdoor lacrosse when he was selected to
play in Major League Lacrosse's Inaugural Summer Showcase Tour in 2000. Since
2000, Jesse has played professionally for the New Jersey Pride, where he has
made every All-Star Team, as well as being the leading goal scorer in each
season of years 2001, 2002, and 2003.
Since 1999, Jesse has worked for Warrior
Lacrosse, the leading lacrosse manufacturer, in various product development
and marketing roles. He is named an inventor on numerous patents for lacrosse
heads and equipment, and he has been instrumental in the development and design
of high-end lacrosse sticks and equipment. In addition to this, Jesse has traveled
to over 20 states teaching the sport of lacrosse and inspiring children to
play lacrosse, the fastest growing team sport in the US.
SUMMER CAMP
At Headfirst's Summer Lacrosse Camp, fun and camper safety are our top priorities,
with an emphasis on team play and individual skill development. We will focus
on throwing, catching, and cradling with both hands. Repetition will be stressed
throughout the week to build muscle memory. Drills and positional practice
will enable the camper to develop the fundamental skills needed to play with
confidence during games. The coaches will demonstrate each drill before players
perform.
Players of all skill levels are encouraged to attend, and players
are encouraged to try different positions at summer camp. There will be plenty
of positional drills that will simulate games. Players will be taught how
to react quickly to various game-like situations, and then shown how to make
the most intelligent play in those situations. There will at least two scrimmages
and games for full day campers with drill work and practice filling the gaps
between games.
Our Sports Camps are designed for athletes of all ages and abilities. Groups
are separated by age, grade level and ability. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced/Select
athletes are encouraged to join us at camp.

JESSE HUBBARD OVERNIGHT CAMP
This camp is designed for players of all skill levels, and each camper will
get personalized attention from our experienced coaching staff. The environment
will be competitive, but it will be structured so that players of all abilities
can thrive and improve. There will be an overnight option as well as day camp
option. Camper safety and fun are the top priorities.
The Headfirst teaching philosophy begins with the idea that the best way to
improve your skills is to learn directly from more experienced players. As
a young player, you should always be thinking about how to reach the next level.
The staff consists of college All-Americans, professional players, and some
of the best teachers of the game. We will teach you techniques and skills that
will help you sharpen your game instincts.
Players will learn how to react quickly
to situations and how to make the smartest play. Drills and positional practice
will enable the camper to develop the fundamental skills needed to play with
confidence. There will be plenty of scrimmaging, and each camper will have
a chance to experiment with new moves during games. Scrimmages and games will
be coached and officiated by our coaching staff. Smart lacrosse players take
advantage of the summertime by attending camps to enhance their skills and
improve their overall game. And best of all, lacrosse camps are fun!
