Headfirst was founded in Washington, DC on the philosophy that the playing
field may serve as the best platform for some of life's greatest lessons. Leadership,
teamwork, preparation and maximized effort are a few key principals upon which
the Headfirst mentality has been built. The Headfirst goal is to provide the
best professional sports and academic instruction for male and female student-athletes
of all abilities, from 4 years old thru high school. This philosophy also extends
to our wide range of summer camps as well, from sports camps and dance camps
to science and the Headfirst Junior Day Camps.
Headfirst is currently the largest provider of professional sports instruction
in the Washington, DC area, offering professional sports and academic instruction
to youth and high school student-athletes of all ages and abilities, both boys
and girls. Headfirst also offers summer day camps, teams, leagues, sports camps,
clinics, skills classes, and private tutoring and lessons throughout all four
of the athletic seasons.
Headfirst offers instruction in baseball, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, and
athletic development for all athletes of all abilities. Headfirst places an
emphasis on personalized instruction-- recognizing that individual attention
is what a developing athlete needs most-- and offers a unique combination of
youth and experience in a staff that aspiring athletes can relate to as coaches
as well as role models. Our intention is for all who participate in our programs
to become fundamentally sound while at the same time learning to compete in
an intelligent and aggressive fashion. The style of play, which combines this
mental approach with the all-out effort that the game requires and deserves,
is what we consider Headfirst.
